Sagewood strives to provide each child with a complete knowledge of the basics of education needed to survive in a changing world. These basics include required skills in reading, math and language. When Sagewood students complete fifth grade, they will be able to read with comprehension, communicate intelligibly through writing and know how to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Sagewood utilizes and implements standards based education following the State adopted and approved standards.  We use the McGraw-Hill My Math program as well as the Bridges Number Corner calendar for core math instruction.  For Language Arts, we supplement instruction and use literacy by design as well as Step Up to Writing.  Teachers have access to a wide variety of supplemental instructional resources. Staff implements a school-wide positive behavior support system including 8 Keys of Excellence.  Students will be prepared for the modern world by accessing the newest technology in problem solving and classroom work using the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) standards.
